Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare Review : A difficult and unconventional plot of female desires. The Director had too many things to tell other than the main plot, which demanded a better screenplay. A good acting effort from Konkona Sen.
Atkan Chatkan Review : A slumdog millionaire attempt !! A story that is inspirational but nothing new to offer for audiences. An average direction and production with very regular acting efforts.
Cargo Review : Original, imaginative, and innovative SciFi Indian movie. We should be proud that the Indian film industry has finally taken a few baby steps towards much needed SciFi films. Makers should select more illustrative storytelling to target a bigger audience base.
A story of the near future where Rakshasa and Manushya have reached a peace treaty. Strong mythological references like brave powerful rakshasa – Prahastha, Pushpak vimaan etc, have added depth to the movie.
JL50 Review : A SciFi which is nicely blended with an investigative thriller. Overall good acting efforts by both lead actors Abhay Deol and Pankaj Kapoor.
This series is like a cream biscuit. If you do not like a biscuit, you can just lick the cream. Similarly, if you do not like SciFi then watch it as a suspense thriller.
Masaba Masaba Review : A fictional story inspired and played by real-life mother-daughter pair, Neena Gupta and Masaba Gupta. A well-written story with decent screenplay and cinematography. Neena Gupta is flawless as always and she is a major crowd puller for this series.
There are some specific instances of the show where there are subtle comments and satire on Bollywood, where a few only dare. This makes the show an interesting watch.
Aashram Review : An average storyline and many side plots. The screenplay is bookish in part 1 but part 2 trailer looks promising. Season 1 has two parts. Story progress in part 1 is slow.
Ramsingh Charlie Review : An inspiring story of an artist. The artist who impersonates Charlie Chaplin and trying to strike the balance between his art and his responsibilities.
Class of 83 Review : This film is based on a book named class of 83. Production and Cinematography team have done a good job to showcase Mumbai of the early ’80s but bookish screenplay failed to create the same impact when compared to books.
The role was apt for Bobby Deol and newcomers have done a good job.
Gunjan Saxena Review : Overall a decent watch and a message much needed for Indian audiences about co-working with women. The first half has everything for which 90’s Bollywood was known for i.e cliche scenes and oversimplified storytelling. The second half makes it a decent watch.
Khuda Hafiz Review : Old story but a new approach. A macho hero kidnapped heroin and the one who helps and the one who betrays. Some fresh action sequences.
Story buildup is slow but keeps you engaged.
The end is predictable and your every next guess will be right.
