Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare Review

A difficult and unconventional plot of female desires.

The Director had too many things to tell other than the main plot, which demanded a better screenplay.

A good acting effort from Konkona Sen.

POSITIVES

Director is successful in keeping it out of the Alt-Balaji category of films. A sensitive and thought-provoking film opens up a few difficult topics for discussion.

NEGATIVES

“Lipstick Under My Burkha” fame director Alankrita Shrivastava had too many cards to show the magic, which failed. A weak screenplay does not allow the audience to connect with the story. Some may feel that writers have just reversed gender-based objectification. Politically biased sequences and quite a few other scenes which do not add anything to the story.
